This is a beauty to play. Gretsch Duo Jet. This is a 2001 Pre-Fender Terada manufactured piece, which I understand is better than the Fender era. Serial Number is 0110128-3284. There must not be a lot of this particular issue of the Duo Jet around as this is the only one I've found and very few I can find online. This has a large headstock, where everyone else I've seen has the narrow headstock. Though I'm no expert. It does play and sound like a dream. Black top with Mahogany back, sides and neck. Top, neck and headstock binding. Horseshoe Headstock (rare for a Duo Jet). Full tail Bigsby. Some cosmetic flaws (ususal wear marks, some buckle rash, but nothing bad). Great action. I replaced the bridge with a Gretsch Roller Bridge. The original Bigsby was tarnished and I replaced it with a new one. All old parts are in the case, except for the tuners. They were changed before I got this one. Original tuners have been replaced with Spurzel locking tuners. The pickup selector switch has gotten sloppy with use, so could be replaced. That should be cheap. Switches are available online, but you could maybe just clean this one up. Someone at some point put some pinstriping on the pickguard, but it looks good. Could easily be removed if needed. Original knobs have been replaced with skull knobs, but original knobs are in the case. Comes with Gretsch hard shell case. This is a steal at $1200.00. You can't beat this price for a Gretsch. Get that great Gretsch Sound today.
